The Kayam Centre is a centre providing reception, accommodation and support services for women affected by intimate partner and domestic violence. Its support focuses on maintaining family harmony and respecting the social, cultural and religious contexts.
Its programmes are designed to preserve women’s dignity, as well as their physical, moral and psychological well-being.

The Kayam Centre’s support for victims of violence centres on several key areas, namely:

• Reception and accommodation;
• Listening and support;
• Psychosocial support;
• Promoting their empowerment through training and income-generating activities;
• Legal support through referral services.
