Support for projects in India and Jordan.
Since 2009, the New Life Funds has supported several projects run by the Swiss organisation SURGIR.
A first project involved the protection and rehabilitation of Jordanian women who became victims of honour-related violence. Through actions on the ground, women who were unjustly imprisoned were released, protected and assisted in their reintegration into social life.
A second project was an aid programme for burned women in India who were victims of dowry-related crimes.
In 2018, SURGIR received support for a project on legal, social, and psychological assistance for Syrian refugee women and their children in Jordan.
